Entries for April, 2010

Saturday night's show has got to be the best I have seen so far.

My sisters and I had to stand for ten hours the other day. Five hours of which we had to spend waiting in line under the scorching heat of the sun as our tickets were SVIP standing and we wanted to get a nice spot inside the Araneta Coliseum. My legs hurt, I must admit but after Super Junior appeared on stage, it did not matter anymore. They were worth the wait as the show was indeed Super.

The show entailed building a different stage. It did not seem like I was in Araneta Coliseum. There were also special effects such as fireworks and rotating platforms which I used to only see on TV or Youtube. I never thought it was possible to see a show like that here. It was totally cool. There were also fun to watch video presentations. A lot of preparations were really made for the show.

Super Junior was amazing on stage. Their voices sounded the same as the record and their synchronized dance moves were incredible.I especially liked their performance of Don't Don and Sorry, Sorry.

They also interacted a lot with the audience. They played with the audience by shooting with their water guns. My sister got Shindong's water bottle by the way. After drinking from it, he threw the bottle at us. When he threw it, it did not hit the ground but was caught by my sister's bag.

Shindong spoke in Filipino. He counted from isa to sampu and said: "Ano ba yan? Pasensiya na po," which was very cute. He must have said that because only ten of the thirteen members made it to Manila. Han Geng has filed a lawsuit against the group's management SM Entertainment for the termination of his contract while Kangin is still suspended for his involvement in a bar assault and hit-and-run incident after driving under the influence of alcohol. As for Kibum, he is still busy with acting projects.

I had a great time despite the absence of some of the members. Zhoumi and Henry of Super Junior M were there anyway. And oh, they're not exactly my favorite members but I'm glad they came because I really wanted to see Super Junior M perform Super Girl.

A lot of people who asked me about the cost of my concert ticket were surprised to find out I spent that much money for just one night. I may have spent a lot for the show, and I may have had to endure standing for so long. For the most part of the show, I was also in a dilemma because I did not know which Super Junior member to look at when they were in different parts of the stage, but I sure have nothing to be sorry, sorry about. I had a really great time at the show. It was super fun.
