Entries for October, 2012

Remember how I've mentioned several times that I want to go to visit the K-pop motherland? Well, it looks like it's finally happening and I can't control the excitement.

I have to thank my friend Miya for getting me, Ann and Kat our tickets to Korea. Our tickets are on sale. We were among the lucky ones that got tickets from Cebu Pacific's seat sale. Can you believe it? It is happening. Finally.

I know I shouldn't be too happy yet because there are still other things I need to hurdle before the trip such as: getting a visa and having enough savings to let me buy all the stuff I want there. I can't help but not be excited though since I've always wanted to go there.  I am already starting to think of the outfits I'll wear and the places to visit. Yesung's Y style shop is of course, on top of the agenda. Oh and let's not forget his coffee shop too. (I am assuming that by that time, he has picked a new and bigger location for Handel and Gretel.)

I am praying that I do get the visa. I don't know if I'll be able to handle being rejected. Rejection is such a painful thing.

I hope I get to resist the temptation to buy clothes, shoes and other things I want but don't really need, so I can start fattening my bank account. It is really hard to control the urge to buy stuff especially when all the stores are offering discounts.

I also hope Yesung has not enlisted to the army by the time I visit Korea. I would really want to see him in his store. I have imagined several times how I would meet him. There's one with me ordering coffee at Handel and Gretel. I'll be picking a table and taking my seat and when I look up, I'll see him holding a tray with my coffee. He would introduce himself  and say he owns the store. I'll take a sip of coffee and he'll ask what I think. I'll say I like it. He'll ask where I'm from and take the seat opposite mine and we'll talk. He'll say he's looking for a business partner to bring that coffee in Manila. Or I'd tell him I'm a journalist and that I would like to write an article about Korea's coffee or Korea or about young entrepreneurs like him. Or we could just talk about anything and we would be having a good time.

If the setting is at Y style, I'd be asking one of the staff for glasses that suit me and the sales person would tell me he'll be right back and when I turn around, Yesung would be there to hand me a pair of glasses and say: "I think this would look good on you." At 27, I still have such a vivid imagination. A fangirl can dream. But really, if I do see him and there is a chance to talk him (unlike during the previous times I went to their shows), I will go talk to him. I haven't really thought of what I'll say to him but I know that when the time comes, I'll have something brilliant in mind.

In the meantime, I have to prepare for the requirements of the trip. Wish me luck.
