When I go to hospitals,it is usually to visit someone who fell ill or had to undergo an operation. Yesterday, I went to the hospital not to visit someone but to undergo surgery. A first for me. Sounding a bit corny here. Haha!
So how did I end up in the operating room yesterday? Well, I had a pimple on the face which got infected, got really big and looked like a cyst. Coming from a family who has a history of cancer on both the mother and father side, my derma advised me to go see a surgeon and have it removed for it might develop into something that could be detrimental to my health. I did exactly as I was told and the operation was conducted yesterday. I cannot say that it was a success yet because the surgeon is asking me to go see him again tomorrow. It turns out, I don't have a cyst on the face but the pimple was really infected and I had a pus in there. Sounds gross I know which is why my left cheek is covered with bandage at the moment. The surgeon says I may have to undergo another procedure to deal with the scar, which is what I am worried about. During the entire procedure, the surgeon and his team were all saying: "Kawawa naman siya. Malaki ito tapos sa mukha pa."
I have to wait until tomorrow to find out about the fate of my face. It is likely that I will have to go to a plastic suregon to deal with the scar. As what my derma would say: "You only have one face so you have to take care of it." For now, I have to rest and eat food that I cannot enjoy thanks to my cold.
