Entries for May, 2012

Just booked my ticket to Hong Kong. Will be going there alone on the night of the 25th since all my friends are flying in the morning. Two more weeks, and I'll be seeing you again HK.

I am looking forward to this trip for two reasons.  This is the first time my High School friends and I are going overseas so it should be a lot of fun. Apart from that, I was not able to shop in  HK the last time I was there so I have to make up for it.

The last time I was in HK was in March.  I wasn't able to shop at the time because I was there for work.  I went there to cover a seminar hosted by UPS. The schedule was packed so I did not really get to go to the shops I so wanted to visit. I did not exactly go back home empty-handed. I was able to buy Super Junior's first album and some rice crackers. No new shoes or clothes though. I just kept telling myself the entire time that since I was there for work, I might as well put work first, right?

But while I was not able to shop in HK, I was able to buy a few stuff while I was in Singapore in that same month.  I bought some stuff from H&M and Cotton On, but was not able to visit Uniqlo, Bershka, River Island and New Look. Since I was there for work too, work was still the priority. I went to Singapore for the Asia Mining Congress and I am really glad I went because I was able to get stories and meet analysts. Prior to that trip, I only knew one mining or metals analyst, so everytime I needed to get an expert's comment, I only had one person in mind, which meant that if he did not take my call, I wouldn't have anything.

What I also liked about my Singapore trip was the view from my room. I stayed at the Marina Bay Sands so I had a very pretty view.

I also had a chance to see Wicked in Singapore. I would have to say it is the best musical I've seen to date.

I was also all smiles in Singapore because of all the excitement I had for Hanson's concert. The show was held on the 30th of March,  a day after I got back to Manila from Singapore. Isaac, Taylor and Zac are all grown up and have kids now but they sure can still play great music and make fans like me sing and jump.

Singapore was fun but I am certain HK is going to be a blast since I will be there with my friends just to do whatever we want. Can't wait.
