My group had a report about Deviance for SocSci 1 class and for the first time in that class I was late. Crap! I'm always the earliest person in class and on that very important day I was late. I was the first person to report and since I wasn't there on time, everyone had to wait for me. I immediately apologized when I came but to my professor, that wasn't good enough. She started threatening us (or perhaps just me) with the possibility of having to take the subject again. As I am writing this now, I am aware that what she was telling us (or me) won't happen because the report is not the only basis for our grade. And besides, there was nothing wrong with my report. I just resent the fact that she had to say those things in class. It's not like I'm the only person who was ever late. In fact, the members of the other groups were also late on the day of their report but they didn't hear a word from our prof. I'm not saying though that it's ok to be late just because my classmates were. I know that I should be punctual. I just don't like what my prof did. She didn't have to say those things. She didn't have to react that way. Oh well. I still have to report on Tuesday. I'll make sure I'll be on time.
