The fan girl is back.

I just finished watching the Korean series "You're Beautiful" and I love it. I am including it in my mental list of favorite Asian dramas. I have to thank Mika for telling me about it. The show was aired in Korea from October to November. I only finished watching yesterday because for some reason, the online streaming of some episodes wouldn't work.

The series is about an idol group called ANJELL, composed of three oh-so-fine lads in search for an additional member. The manager finds a new member named Go Mi Nam. The new member however, has to go to the US to undergo an operation. And while he is staying there, the activities of ANJELL must go on so, the manager finds Go Mi Nam's twin sister Go Mi Nyu (played by Park Shin Hye) to pretend to be Go Mi Nam in the meantime. It is another one of those dramas where a girl has to pretend to be a guy but what is interesting in this series is that the girl grew up in a convent and is about to become a nun. What happens then when the other members Tae Kyung (Jang Geun Suk), Shin Woo (Jung Yong Hwa) and Jeremy (Lee Hong Ki) find out that the new member is a girl? The rest of the series follows how life is for the idol group and how each member begins to fall for Go Mi Nyu.

I enjoyed watching the series because there was a balance of the funny and the serious moments. The actors also worked well with each other. I also thought it was interesting that the show made mention of Super Junior a couple times. Oh. And I think the ANJELL members are eye candies.  heart.gif Haha!

I read somewhere that Jang Geun Suk has a scheduled Asian tour and the Philippines is part of the itinerary. I will most likely try to see him if it pushes through.

In a related note, Super Junior is coming to Manila on April 10 for a concert and I am really excited. I sound like a bubbly High School student again. As it turns out, I am not the only who likes them. I have friends from college who are also into Super Junior and Kpop in general. smile.gif Anyway, the last time I checked, ticket prices have yet to be finalized but a VIP ticket would cost P8500. That's really a lot of money. But if you think about it, there are 13 members in Super Junior so I guess the ticket price should not be a surprise. I do hope I get to see all members performing here as Han geng and Kibum are missing in action. Can't wait for April.

Fan girl signing out.
