Fans of Korean male idols have that one day they wish would never come. The day our dear idol will have to enlist in the military. That day is coming really soon for me. Tomorrow, Kim Jong Woon or more popularly known as Yesung, is enlisting and he will be out of the K-pop world for two years.

If you've read my previous entries (I am assuming you haven't), you would know that Yesung is my favorite Super Junior member. That is why I feel really sad. Not that I didn't know this day was coming. I knew even before that he has to enlist this year since he is turning 29. I just didn't think he would have to do it before my trip to Korea. I was hoping it would be after July so that my chances of seeing him in his cafe are greater.

All the other fans said they will wait for Yesung. By the time he finishes his military service, I'll be hitting 30. I'm probably too old to be worrying about an idol who doesn't even know I exist. Most people my age are tying the knot or busy preparing for more relevant things. I guess you can say I am behind the curve, but whatever. It's hard to explain but even if they don't know me, Super Junior really makes me happy. Listening to Yesung sing and watching him do the octopus dance makes me happy.

Sure, the possibility of me seeing Yesung in Korea in July is nil, with him serving in the military. But who knows? He might still drop by his cafe on weekends. I still hope I get to see him soon. And I also hope he completes his military service safely.
